A Christmas Hog Roast Reading for Reading University

Recently, the Hog Roast Reading team were hired by Reading University to help the students celebrate their Christmas Party. The event was a great way to bring all the students together before many return home for the Christmas break and also to reward them for their hard work over the academic year so far. The event was held at Wessex Hall Reading and it was the perfect venue for the Hog Roast team to serve their onsite hog roast at.

The Hog Roast Reading team offered a festive menu to the students and served to buffet on wooden crockery to add luxury to the buffet. The main meat was turkey, a perfect festive twist on the usual traditional hog roast, and this was complimented by pigs in blankets. In addition, vegetarian options were offered while bread rolls and wraps were laid out for the meat dishes to also give the buffet a more casual element. A variety of sides were offered including seasonal vegetables and homemade gravy, as well as roast potatoes. The team worked hard to ensure that all of the dishes were bursting with flavour, for example, their potatoes were infused with rosemary and garlic. In addition, the turkey was served with cranberry sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing. The buffet was finished off with a pudding of mince pies and brandy cream. The food went down fantastically which the students and they all enjoyed the Christmas-style hog roast. The party was also a huge success and everyone appeared to have a great time.

The party included 150 guests and so the Hog Roast Reading team had to ensure that all the food was ready at the same time and that they could keep it warm and fresh once it was laid out on the buffet. The team also ensured that they maintained the quality of the food throughout the service as they were catering for such a large number of guests. Overall, the Christmas Party was a great success and all of the students appeared to have a fantastic time with some great food.
