Christmas is coming and it’s time to start thinking about long shopping lists for presents and getting the tree and decorations out of the loft. But have you thought about maybe taking a day this month where you can relax, be served wonderful food and drink and forget about all the worries that the festive season brings? Even if you don’t have a special occasion coming up, there’s no reason why you can’t throw yourself and your family or friends a Christmas party, and what better food to enjoy at that party than a spit-roasted turkey from our lovely team at Hog Roast Camberley!
Turkey is so traditional at this time of year, but your guests will never forget one that’s roasted especially for them, in front of them, by professional caterers. We love what we do and we do what we love and that’s cook and serve top quality food that tastes great, and our turkeys taste just as great as our wildly popular hog roast Camberley. A spit roast centrepiece means you’ll have fantastic sights and smells as well as amazing tastes. Just ask Jenny, who decided to book a hog roast Camberley party for herself and her friends, so they could relax for one evening before the craziness of Christmas begins!
Jenny called us recently to ask if we could cater on Sunday evening in her back garden, which would feature chimineas and fire baskets to help battle chilly December. She decided to treat seven friends to an ‘evening off’, after they had all talked about how stressful the festive season can be, and who were we to argue. I could easily cater this party by myself, so set off on Sunday afternoon with my trusty roasting machine and lots of fresh ingredients.
In addition to the glorious turkey, I roasted potatoes and added sprigs of rosemary, and cooked parsnips, butternut squash and carrots. The trimmings consisted of pots of cranberry sauce, jugs of gravy and our lovely homemade stuffing. I even served homemade mince pies and hot mulled wine to the guests. All in all, it was a great evening that allowed the lovely ladies to chill out and enjoy our sumptuous food before the Christmas rush kicks in.
