The Hog Roast Bisley team was delighted when they were contacted about the catering for a surprise 22nd birthday party being planned for a local young woman. The party, organised by the birthday girl’s parents, was to be a 1970s themed disco at the local town hall, the team absolutely loved the theme!
The clients had a guest list of 100 friends and family of the birthday girl, all of whom would need to be fed by the buffet the Hog Roast Bisley team would be making. The clients wanted a bespoke catering package where no expense was spared; the main aim was that the buffet would be luxurious and tasty. The clients were very keen that the buffet should cater to all dietary requirements, so the team made a point of including some truly delicious vegan and vegetarian options.
With a serving time of 9pm and the surprise party starting around 6pm a team of two from Hog Roast Bisley arrived at the town hall venue around 3pm. Arriving this early allowed them enough time to set up their equipment, lay and dress the serving tables and to prepare and cook every dish fresh on site in the hours leading up to the surprise party.
The team of two worked hard to prepare perfect platters of food, including the main attraction at the buffet table: a Classic Hog Roast, complete with crispy crackling, stuffing and apple sauce. Alongside this there were platters of BBQ Pork Butt, grilled vegetable skewers and lots of tasty dips, skin-on Southern style whole baked potatoes, Mac and Cheese, crunchy coleslaw and a fresh Greek salad. The platters were a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds!
The surprise went off without a hitch, the birthday girl was in awe of all that had parents had put together for her party. The food was enjoyed by all the guests at 9pm, and afterwards the Chef and assistant discreetly tidied away, making sure to take all the rubbish with them.
The event had been a massive success.
