If you’ve been following Hog Roast Addlestone for a while, you’ll already know weddings hold a special place in our hearts. There’s something about helping a couple pull off their dream day through food that actually gets people talking to each other, rather than staring at their phones between courses, that makes us love every day on the job. So when our latest couple asked us to be part of their big day, we couldn’t say yes fast enough.
The celebrations were held just down the road at the Hare Hill Social Club, a proper local gem with enough space for 60 guests, a dance floor, some good music, and room for us to set up shop. Our catering manager Shaun tucked the whole operation into a corner of the room, keeping well out of everyone’s way so nothing distracted from the day itself. That didn’t stop the food from stealing a bit of the spotlight, though.
Honestly, the smell alone did most of the work. Meat sizzling away on the grill had people glancing over well before we’d even opened up, and the second the buffet went live at half five, we were swarmed. Beef burgers, kebabs, sticky ribs – if it was on the menu, guests wanted it, and they weren’t shy about coming back for more. Veggies and vegans were looked after properly too, with two genuinely tasty meat-free options on offer, plus a solid lineup of side salads and fries, because let’s be honest, a spread isn’t complete without the extras.
By the end of the night, there wasn’t much left. Plates were scraped clean, and the compliments kept coming – on the food, the presentation, and how friendly the whole Hog Roast Addlestone team were throughout the evening.
