Hog Roast Maidenhead Has Wedding Menus For Every Vibe!

Hog Roast SurreyWe’re still knee-deep in wedding season, with nuptials keeping the whole team busy most days at the minute, but you won’t hear us complaining – not even a little bit. Because at Hog Roast Maidenhead, weddings aren’t just something we do, they’re genuinely what we love most, and helping couples across Surrey bring their vision to life with food that actually matches the tone of their day never gets old.

So when we got the call to cater a wedding at Monk’s Barn, we were properly buzzing. Tucked away in the sleepy village of Hurley, it’s one of the more unique venues you’ll come across – a medieval, Grade II listed barn with exposed stonework, traditional flagstone floors, and beams overhead that have clearly seen a few centuries go by. And with room for 150 guests indoors, plus plenty more space to spill out onto the lawn once things get going, our couple couldn’t have found a better setting for their wedding earlier this month.

Wanting to lean into the venue’s rustic charm while still giving their 115 guests real variety, the couple went for our Southern Slow Roast Menu, and it’s not hard to see why. Inspired by the deep, warming flavours of America’s Deep South, it’s a menu with enough range that finding something to love is basically guaranteed. Tender BBQ pork butt, sticky ribs, Hog Roast Surreypulled minted lamb, Cajun-spiced chicken, BBQ beef brisket – honestly, the couple’s only real struggle was narrowing everything down to just three options, because it all sounded so good. They got there eventually, though and were thrilled with what they picked.

Hog Roast Maidenhead rounded out their chosen mains with meat-free alternatives and hearty sides that had guests practically drooling before a single plate was served. But our work didn’t end there. Once the evening crowd arrived, we brought out a cold buffet too, featuring homemade sandwiches, Melton Mowbray pork pies, Scotch eggs, veggie quiches, cocktail sausages, cheese sticks, sausage rolls, coleslaw, and a spread of nachos, crisps, sauces, and chutneys for guests to graze on well into the night.

The couple couldn’t have pictured a better day, and we’re proud to say Hog Roast Maidenhead played a real part in making it happen.
