There’s been a proper shift lately, with more people in their forties embracing active lifestyles, bolder fashion choices and hobbies you’d have once assumed were strictly for the younger crowd. Throw in a bit more financial freedom and life stability and honestly, some would argue your forties beat your twenties hands down.
Now, as caterers, we’re not really in a position to settle that particular debate, that’s above our pay grade. But what we do know with total confidence, is that stepping into a new decade deserves a celebration. A big one. And that part’s got our name written all over it.

Recently, we put that into practice at a 40th birthday celebration nearby. With 50 guests and a fair few dietary needs to juggle, the client went with our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which suited the relaxed vibe they were going for while still bringing serious flavour to the table. BBQ pork butt, tender beef brisket, juicy Cajun chicken and grilled veg and halloumi kebabs meant every craving and diet was covered from the start. From there, guests loaded up their plates with seasonal veg, homemade coleslaw and a mix of sweet potato and classic fries, plus all the salt, vinegar and sauces they could want.
Having us handle the cooking meant the client got to skip the stress entirely and honestly, it added a certain magic to the whole night. Turning 40 never looked so good.
