A Christening Celebration – Hog Roast Ripley

As a caterer, one of the most satisfying parts of any job is serving time. You get to see your passionately made food scooped up by joyful guests and get to see them enjoy all your hard work, bringing a huge sense of pride and with every job added to our portfolio our expertise grows. Today was one of those days.

Today we made a short travel to a local family’s house for the aftermath of their sons christening. Our client requested our sixth private menu option, ideal for large events like this with just over 100 guests.

The meal starts with Canapés served as the guests arrived, those chosen were mini quiche’s, chicken satay, a selection of indian snacks, spicy chicken kebabs and handmade gourmet sausage. Like the rest of the day’s meal, these were served at the table by our friendly charismatic waiting staff. After these came the starter, which today was smoked salmon alongside prawns and avocado complimented by mustard and dill dressing on a bed of curly endive. There was then options of two main courses, the chosen options were spit roasted turkey served with fresh cranberries and homemade sage and onion stuffing and the second option was spit roasted beef sirloin with yorkshire puddings, horseradish sauce and red wine gravy. These came with a selection of sauces, crusty bread rolls, seasonal vegetables, three salads (Fresh green leaf, coleslaw and greek salad), jacket potatoes and warm new potatoes with herb butter. This was followed by a choice of two desserts, cheesecake and profiteroles. Tea, coffee and mints are also served by our waiting staff to the tables. All our food is homemade by our chefs to ensure the high quality we strive for and expect.

As guests dug into the hog roast in Ripley that our waiting staff served them, individually happy faces surrounded us, everybody loved the food and could see the work we’d put into each and every item over the expansive preparation time using our top of the range machines and skills. All that was left by the end was to clean up the empty plates and revel in the days success as we made the short travel back to our catering unit. A brilliant day with a hog roast in Ripley.
