After seeing our alfresco menu online, Sharon got in touch with Hog Roast Dorking to book us to cater for her upcoming family party taking place this October. She thought that our menu looked delicious and would be the ideal way to begin the event, followed by a hearty hog roast. These courses are a great contrast to each other and combine to create a delicious autumn feast. Our catering manager Shaun looked forward to creating the perfect menu for the occasion and knew that this would be ideal for the family to enjoy.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Dorking team arrived at the private venue in the morning and began to prepare all of the dishes on-site. We started by serving our alfresco sharing platters, which combined a variety of exquisite flavours and textures. The boards included gourmet meats and cheeses, fresh bread, breadsticks, olives, salad options, and fresh dips. This course was a huge hit with the guests and was a great way to begin the menu, allowing guests to enjoy as much as they wished from our selection.
Following the sharing platters, the guests enjoyed a classic hog roast accompanied by all of the traditional trimmings. We served the succulent carved pork in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, the guests enjoyed homemade chips and a selection of fresh salad dishes, creating a hearty and balanced main course. Overall, our menu was a great choice for this event and Sharon agreed that our alfresco platters are even better in real life than online!
