Today Hog Roast Camberley were honoured to be part of a very special birthday party. Sophie, one of our dearest and most loyal customers was celebrating her 70th birthday and had asked us along to cater for her and her family.
We had been long-term favourite caterers of Sophies ever since we provided the wedding breakfast at her son’s wedding almost ten years ago! Ever since we had always been invited back by Sophie whenever the family needed a caterer and we were always more than happy to oblige as it’s always great to catch up with past customers as we really do get to know them and consider them as friends more than clients.
Sophie had mentioned to us previously that she wasn’t one for celebrating birthdays, especially as hers falls right in the middle of winter which often meant it was too cold to do things. However, we mentioned our Hog Roast Camberley ‘Winter Warmer’ menu was designed just for these types of events and would keep all her guests warm no matter what the weather chose to do. What impressed Sophie more and seemed to really seal the deal for us catering at her 70th was the fact that we assured her we can cook outdoors in any weather conditions and as Sophie lived in a small cottage and the party was being held there, we would be catering outdoors. We are able to do this as we always bring along our own gazebo which provides shelter and luckily for us our Hog Roast Camberley machine provides all the warmth we need!
For the party we had planned to create our simple yet extremely delicious Hog Roast Camberley rolls. These consist of our classic slow roasted pork meat, smothered in homemade tarte applesauce and in layers on top lots of crispy crackling. We couldn’t wait to see the look on Sophie’s face as she took her first bite, as we know Hog Roast Camberley rolls are her favourite!
