It’s December and we all know what that means…Yes, the countdown for Christmas has officially begun and to kick off the busiest party season of the year, Hog Roast Chobham was invited to Coworth Flexlands Prep School to help spread some festive cheer among the 200 guests who had managed to secure tickets for the annual Christmas Bazaar! Having previously wowed the attendees and organisers when we were entrusted to cater for last year’s event, the school’s social committee members were eager to have our catering manager Matt take the reins this time around too.
With 115 adults and 85 children making up the guest list this year, Matt recommended our classic hog roast menu which offers one of our succulent, slow roasted hogs with all the trimmings; as well as a meat-free alternative of grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi and gluten-free rolls and wraps. The client couldn’t have been happier with Matt’s advice, and yet again they were impressed by how efficiently the Hog Roast Chobham team arranged the details of the event while taking care to ensure the vegetarian and vegan guests would feel included.
On the day of the highly-anticipated event, Hog Roast Chobham arrived at the school six hours prior to the 11:45 am serving time which gave them plenty of time to lovingly prepare the feast. As the meat sizzled it’s way to golden perfection while surrounded by an abundance of homemade savoury stuffing in our Hog Master Pro, the team took the opportunity to piece together the vegetable skewers using freshly cut chunks of red onion, colourful bell peppers and bite-sized haloumi which went down a storm with the early arriving guests.
As always, the social committee had gone all out on entertainment and with a Santa’s grotto, tombolas, a raffle, market stalls and even live reindeer making an appearance – the guests were never short of things to do! With all the excitement from the event, guests built up a huge appetite, but with our hog roast menus there is always plenty of food which allowed them to return for third and even fourth helpings of the mouth-watering grub!
