Hog Roast Cookham’s signature hog roast has become a bit of a celebration staple across Surrey. From weddings and christenings to birthdays and beyond, there’s hardly an occasion that hasn’t been made better by a few of our hog roast sandwiches thrown in the mix! Our latest booking was a perfect example. The client was planning a 50th birthday bash for 100 guests and wanted food that would make the occasion feel special without eating into the party budget too much. Our signature hog roast ticked both boxes – particularly as they loved our farm-to-table approach.

There’s something special about seeing a hog roast prepared right there at your event, and the delicious smells drifting across the room certainly don’t hurt either! Best of all, our menu came in comfortably within budget, leaving the client with a little extra wiggle room for decorations and entertainment.
And what a party they put on! The guest of honour had created a wonderfully welcoming setting, and with music keeping everyone on their feet, there was plenty going on. When people needed a 
breather, we were happy to help them fill their plates with melt-in-the-mouth pulled pork, applesauce, sage and onion stuffing and crackling sandwiches, plus mixed salad and coleslaw for good measure. Nobody was going to dance on an empty stomach on our watch.
Our vegetarian and vegan guests were equally well looked after, with grilled vegetable kebabs and optional halloumi on offer alongside BBQ pulled jackfruit sliders. The latter proved such a hit that a few meat-eaters were spotted eyeing them up too, which we’re taking as a pretty big seal of approval!
In fact, everyone loved the spread Hog Roast Cookham cooked up (sorry, couldn’t resist), and by the end of the night, those overflowing chafing trays had been picked so clean we could practically see our own reflections. Honestly, that’s the best kind of compliment a caterer can get – and we’ll take it every time.
