As a catering brand Hog Roast Croydon have been around for around 30 or so years. We like to think that’s a lot of time to be doing anything for, but those three decades pale in comparison to the impressive 50 years of marriage that our featured customers of last month were celebrating.
For a golden anniversary the best dish to have is our golden hog roast. Made in the traditional spit style, it is a dining experience nearly as special as 50 years of love, so it’s a perfect accompaniment for a golden anniversary party. With around 60 guests coming along to celebrate the love of two incredible and awe inspiring hosts, Hog Roast Croydon made sure to have plenty to go along with our hog roast to ensure that everyone could have plenty to eat to enjoy the occasion to its best.
It’s unfortunate that with the British summer weather you never really know what you are going to get. In planning it might have been easy to assume that the sunshine and heat was going to last, but unfortunately for our customers the weather didn’t quite get the memo about the golden anniversary. Rather than clear skies and golden sunshine, the thunderstorms came, showering our team and guests as we all arrived at the event. Our catering manager Shaun and his team made sure to get our tent up as quickly as possible so that we could begin cooking right away and keep our foods dry. We’re always prepared for the rain, and it is a credit to Shaun and his staff that they persevered with the worst of the rain and got the job done!

We always make it a point to have everything cleared up efficiently too – helped along by the mobility and ease of use of our hog roasting machine – so it was wonderful to hear that they were also impressed by just how clean we left everything after our service. We are delighted that they enjoyed the event just as much as we did, even with the rain!
