Hog Roast DorkingWhen Ben contacted Hog Roast Dorking a while back to ask us about our catering services, he had been recommended to us by a friend. We’re always proud to hear this, and in Ben’s case, he had heard all about our amazing hog roast rolls and wanted to try them for himself. To make these pieces of heaven, we lovingly prepare the meat fresh at your venue, hours before service, then watch over as it cooks to perfection. Once the meat has rested a short while, we carve the crackling and meat off into trays, add to fresh, floury bread rolls and wraps and then add yummy apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing – both homemade delights of ours. Then we hand over to you and your guests to add your choice of condiments and then devour, and we’re sure you’ll queue up for more!

Ben had asked Hog Roast Dorking to cater his girlfriend’s 30th birthday party, so on a sunny Saturday recently, our team headed to the venue – a local pub garden – early in the morning, ready to roast a traditional centrepiece hog for five long hours before serving plenty of pigs in buns to Ben, his girlfriend Rhoda and their forty guests.

After scoring the meat all over in diagonal shapes, our chef covered it in water to keep it moist and then with plenty of salt, which turns the skin into crispy crackling. Later on in the day, with the outside turned golden and the inside mouth-wateringly juicy, our chef carved away as the guests looked in on anticipation. The queues began and our team began to serve, and Ben and Rhoda rushed to the front to sample our famous pigs in buns.
