Today we catered for a lovely party of 90 guests in the beautiful villiage of Effingham. We were serving our ever popular menu 1 choice with slow roasted hog roast pork with crispy crackling, a selection of white, whole meal and seeded fresh baker’s rolls, sage and onion stuffing made using the pork juices and homemade apple sauce. Fran had also chosen to include homemade coleslaw and fresh green leaf salads in her menu. We set up a few hours before service and got our serving tables ready and laid with black table cloths and all the necessary accessories in place. We had slowly roasted the hog roast offsite as it was an 8:30pm serve. The hog roast had been cooked for 12 hours prior to us arriving on
site and was perfect to pull and serve. Once the guests started to arrive they love the look of our setup and were commenting on how good the hog roast smelt. It was a cold evening for hog roast Effingham and as we were serving outside the guests were really looking forward to eating. As soon as 8:30pm arrived they were quickly up to all make sure they got a great plate of food. Many came back for more and there was still plenty left after all the guests had eaten. Almost every guest came back and thanked us for such amazing food and as we slowly started to pack away unnoticed there was a great sense of happiness throughout the party. We left the remaining food for everyone to pick at through the rest of the night and made sure the site was as clean as when we arrived before heading back. A great hog roast event from hog roast Effingham.
