Hog Roast Esher had a fantastic time catering Jen and Joshua’s engagement party at the weekend and our food was a big hit with the happy couple and all of their guests. We love to create homemade delights for any kind of special occasion, so whether you’re planning a birthday party, a wedding day feast, a corporate function or anything else at all, we will do so with the utmost care and go the extra mile so that you can sit back and relax with your guests.
Jen and Joshua asked us for a simple menu of Hog Roast Esher pigs in buns to feed their 65 guests but they knew the taste, sight and smells of our centrepiece hog roast would be anything but simple. Both Jen and Joshua had enjoyed one of our hog roasts last summer, at a friend’s wedding, and they kept us in mind for the future. When we cook a hog roast, we do it in absolute style, and we prepare the locally-sourced, high-quality meat fresh at your venue, and use tasty, homemade ingredients to make the hog roast rolls themselves.
For this celebration, we also needed to provide a gluten-free option and when we told the couple that our hog roast is already suitable, as long as we bring along suitable bread rolls, they were highly impressed. We don’t do things by halves as we want all of our customers and their guests to be able to eat and enjoy our food, even if they are restricted in their diet.
On the day of the engagement do, our Hog Roast Esher chef and assistants set up our equipment at the local hotel venue, including our trusty hog roasting machine, gazebo and serving tables. We were cooking and serving outside but we warmed up soon after the machine had been turned on and was slowly roasting the beast to absolute perfection over a good few hours.
Nearer the time of service, while the meat was resting, we set up the fixings, including fresh bread rolls and wraps, with the gluten-free bread rolls in a separate area, as well as our homemade apple sauce and stuffing, and then it was finally time to serve.
