This week we had a very exciting event with Hog Roast Godalming- a classic car festival! Now I’m no expert myself but my colleagues were looking forward to seeing all of the classics gathered together in one place for this annual event and it was our pleasure to cater!
We arrived first thing in the morning to get our stall set up before all of the guests arrived. It was set to be a lovely sunny day but as always we set up underneath our trusty gazebo as you can never be too careful with the British weather! Just as the first Alfa Romeos and Porsches started to arrive, we were putting our hog onto roast whole for several hours. As the event was estimated to have at least five hundred people in attendance we had a large task ahead of us to keep everyone well fed throughout the day, but it was nothing Hog Roast Godalming are not used to!
Throughout the event, we planned to serve up our classic yet delicious Hog Roast Godalming rolls. For those who don’t know these rolls consist of our slow roasted meat gently carved after roasting for multiple hours over open flames and placed into freshly baked and sliced bread rolls. Layers of crunchy and crispy crackling are placed on top along with a dollop of our chefs’ homemade applesauce and a spoonful of sage and onion stuffing completes the Hog Roast Godalming roll. In addition to handing out our signature rolls, we also made use of our BBQ roasting attachment to rustle up some butcher’s selection burgers and sausages that go down a treat at any and all events.
Once everything was prepared, we were working non-stop throughout the day serving up our Hog Roast Godalming to all of the guests in attendance. We did manage to sneak a look around the classic cars too before discreetly tidying away after the event was over.
