Hog Roast Greenford Served A Phenomenal Slow Roast To The Meat-Loving Hertfordshire Cheetahs!

Formed in 1986, the Hertfordshire Cheetahs are, to date, the only American Football Club in the entire county, which made our visit to their local grounds earlier this month all the more exciting!

With their annual football awards coming up, Yasmin had asked Hog Roast Greenford to cover the catering for all 200 guests, and with the help of our catering manager, Shaun, she managed to find the perfect feast for the special occasion.

Fast forward to the day of the ceremony, the first thing our team did after arriving at the Watford venue was set up the serving tables, catering gazebo and get started on preparing the magnificent hog, which they roasted to perfection over real flames for the entirety of the afternoon. As the pork began to crisp, the juices from the meat dripped into the sage and onion stuffing below, adding extra flavour to the best-loved side.

Hog Roast GreenfordWhile the main attraction sizzled and spat in the HogMaster, the rest of the team focused their sights on the vegan option and sides, which involved smothering pulled jackfruit in a hickory BBQ sauce and leaving it to simmer until serving time, at which point it was dressed with vegan ‘slaw and served on crunchy gluten-free rolls. As for the sides, the crew whipped up a batch of delicious home-cut chips and applesauce to go alongside the hog roast.

The first serving time took place at 6:30 pm that evening, and the guests were over the moon with Hog Roast Greenford’s spectacular spit roast, which suited the palates of meat enthusiasts and those following plant-based diets, meaning everyone felt welcome and cared for. The second group, who were served an hour later, was just as impressed by the meal and had plenty of positive things to say about the flavour-bursting gourmet feast that our team presented to them.

We’re ecstatic to say that the event went off without a single hitch, and we’re so pleased that Yasmin invited Hog Roast Greenford to be a part of such an important night for the Hertfordshire Cheetahs, who partied like true wild cats into the night!
