Hog Roast Hayes and a Festive Feast

Hog Roast HayesHog Roast Hayes was delighted to cater a large scale Christmas party at Sweet Projects in early December, delivering a festive feast for an impressive 1,000 guests. Led by Catering Manager Shaun, the team arrived early to prepare a smooth and well organised service that matched the scale and excitement of the event.

With serving beginning at 11:00, the atmosphere quickly filled with the comforting aromas of Christmas cooking. Whole roasted turkeys were the star of the menu, cooked until perfectly tender and served with fresh cranberry sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing. The turkeys were carved on site, creating a real sense of occasion and drawing guests together as they queued with plates in hand.

The festive menu was designed to feel generous and familiar, giving guests everything they hoped for from a Christmas celebration. Alongside the turkey, plates were filled with crisp roasted potatoes, proper pigs in blankets, creamy homemade cauliflower cheese, and rich homemade gravy. Soft floured bread rolls and wraps were also available, including wholemeal and gluten free options, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the meal just how they liked it.

Vegetarian and vegan guests were well catered for with a hearty nut roast that proved just as popular as the main event. It was prepared with the same care and attention as the rest of the menu, ensuring no one felt like an afterthought. With such a large and varied guest list, this inclusive approach helped keep everyone happy and well fed.

The food was served onto high quality wooden crockery with matching cutlery and disposable napkins, giving the setup a festive yet practical feel that worked perfectly for a busy corporate environment. Despite the size of the event, service ran smoothly, allowing guests to relax, chat, and enjoy their Christmas break without queues or delays.

By the end of the service, empty plates and smiling faces said it all. Hog Roast Hayes was proud to play a part in such a successful Christmas party, delivering festive food on a big scale while keeping the experience warm, welcoming, and stress free for the organisers.
