The joy of catering is the incredible venues you get to visit and the wonderful folk that you get to meet. Last week Hog Roast Maidenhead got to enjoy both as we came out to help the celebration’s for Ben’s landmark 50th birthday out at one of the more unique locations we have ever catered in.
For his 50th, Ben celebrated in style over at Shoot Aviation here in Maidenhead. It’s a studio that specialises in aerial film shooting for movies and tv. The likes of Hobbs and Shaw and other action epics have made use of Shoot Aviation before, marking them out as one the UK premier aviation film services. For our team at Hog Roast Maidenhead, this added a good bit of extra excitement to our job for the day as we enjoyed just seeing many of the incredible planes and pieces of equipment that they had around the studio.
As for Ben’s own 50th birthday, the party more than matched up to the extravagance and novelty of the venue. 100 guests had come out to celebrate the man himself, and for their efforts they got to enjoy the very best of Hog Roast Maidenhead’s summer catering. Beginning with a refreshing and brilliant looking antipasti grazing table, guests were met with a fine dose of colour and taste in one go to get things started as they meant to go on. Our antipasti grazing table delivers the fine meaty and cutting tastes of Italy as our team arranged a colourful coordination of finely sliced salamis, prosciutto parm ham along with buffalo mozzarella, parmigiano, and gorgonzola. Our herby and artisanal breads served with zesty dipping oils makes this a summer starter worth flying in for.
Our hog roast was to follow – a dish so great and epic that it may well be worth getting the flight crews of Shooting Aviation up in the sky just to properly capture its brilliance. With golden crackling, sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, mixed salad, and gourmet coleslaw, this was an excellent way to celebrate the finest of 50th birthday parties for Ben and co.
