As far as Easter goes, there’s so much more to this annual holiday than the mountains of egg-shaped chocolate and fruity pastries – though we definitely appreciate the excuse of being able to binge on sweet treats for a few days without any judgement! In our book, though, a traditional celebration just wouldn’t be the same without a glorious savoury feast, complete with an abundance of thick slices of juicy pork, fresh-tasting seasonal vegetables and plenty of flavour-enhancing herbs. It’s a combo that just can’t be beaten – and we’re not the only ones who seem to think so!
For the Hog Roast Mimbridge team, Easter weekend (with the exception of last year, of course) is always an extremely busy time of year for us, and we’re pleased to say that 2021 saw us return with a bang! While standard, fully-catered-for group events were still off-limits over the bank holiday weekend, our catering duo, made up of Shaun and his wife, Lou, were still able to treat our customers to a tasty hog roast spread, courtesy of our Gourmet Delivery service option.
With many people still stuck at home over the celebratory period, our drop-off opportunity was much appreciated in that it allowed for households and small bubbles to mark the special occasion in an unforgettable way. As an added bonus, Hog Roast Mimbridge had chosen to run a fantastic Easter offer, which awarded our customers an impressive, limited-time discount on their food!
After reciting the offer code to our team over the phone, one client, Siobhan, went on to place a festive order for her small bubble. Asking for both slow-roasted pork with all the extras and spit-roasted spring lamb with mint sauce and Yorkshire puddings, Siobhan pieced together a fully bespoke, entirely festive menu for her Easter lunch.
Adding an extra exciting touch to the day, the adults involved had set out an Easter egg hunt in the back garden for the children, and after all the excitement had worked up their appetites, Hog Roast Mimbridge arrived just in time with a beautiful-smelling package of piping-hot meats, chilled salads and fluffy potatoes.
