Last Friday saw the Hog Roast Norwood Hill catering team head to a neighbouring village where they prepared a drool-worthy feast for Ian’s 60th birthday party. Weeks before the celebration, his son Adam had gotten in contact with us to organise the surprise event, and knowing that his dad was a huge fan of western films, he had opted for our southern slow roast menu which features a selection of juicy spice-infused meats and irresistible side options, all inspired by classic American cuisine.
With it being too cold to host the event outdoors, Adam had hired out a function room in the local town hall which offered enough space for the catering crew to set up the cooking equipment and buffet table while still leaving plenty of room for the 80-something guests to enjoy themselves. Arrangements sorted, Hog Roast Norwood Hill journeyed to the venue a few hours before the party was set to kick-off which allowed them plenty of time to prepare the fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, BBQ pork butt and Texan 24 hour beef brisket which they served up with portions of creamy mac and cheese, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and a duo of brightly coloured salads as well as a meat-free alternative of grilled veggie skewers.
Ian was shocked when Adam led him into the hall, which had been decorated with balloons and bunting, and was filled with delicious scents coming from the buffet. Just as Adam had hoped, the food was a huge hit and everyone, especially Ian, thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
