Jenny owns a function room in Surrey that hosts all kinds of different events, ranging from private parties and weddings to movie nights and live music. This August, the venue is hosting a comedy night for the public to enjoy, with five different comedians performing. Additionally, Hog Roast Guildford has been hired to cater for the event, which is sure to attract some extra guests and elevate the event. For the menu, our catering manager Shaun has been hired to provide our classic hog roast, with a few additional dishes. All of our menus can be customised, so Shaun got to work on creating the perfect menu for this event!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Guildford team arrived at the venue in the afternoon to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. Once ready, the pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served tasty veggie sausages and marinated chicken kebabs, to ensure that there was a main dish for everyone to enjoy. The guests could also choose from a variety of side dishes, including homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. Overall, this menu was a great addition to the comedy night and our menu was very successful during the interval. The Hog Roast Guildford team enjoyed catering for this event and we loved getting to listen to the comedy acts while we worked!
