We asked Shaun some questions so we could get to know him and his experiences with Hog Roast Walton on Thames….
What has been your funniest moment on an event?
Shaun was once asked for a portion of Turkey when serving the pulled pork out of a chafer dish! Suppose they are both classed as white meat!
What has been the most unusual request you’ve ever had?
Shaun was asked to serve a colourful, rainbow dish to celebrate LGBT day at a local logistics company. An unusual yet exiting request! Shaun decided on tacos since who doesn’t love tacos?! He served chilli beef and spicy chicken with a colourful medley of toppings including red cabbage, shredded lettuce, red tomato salsa, orange pepper and yellow cheddar cheese. It was a beautiful rainbow display and tasted amazing too!
What has been your most memorable event?
Shaun claims that his most memorable event was serving England rugby player James Haskell! He was really lovely and real eye candy for Shaun’s wife, ha!
Which Hog Roast Walton on Thames menu would you recommend?
If Shaun was to recommend a Hog Roast Walton on Thames menu, he would select the traditional hog roast. He claims that there is nothing better than a slowly roasted hog where the meat is that juicy that it just falls apart! The super succulent pork in a soft bun with lashings of homemade apple sauce is to die for! It is even better with some new potatoes dripping in butter with fresh chives and a portion of homemade crunchy coleslaw, this just tops the whole experience off for Shaun and we can understand why! It sounds amazing!
