Okay, real talk – nobody leaves a birthday party raving about the decorations. What they actually talk about on the drive home, and for days afterwards, is the food. And if that food happens to be a gloriously golden hog roast? Well, you’ve basically guaranteed yourself legendary status in your social circle.
That’s exactly the kind of birthday magic Hog Roast Addlestone has been creating across Surrey for over 30 years. Big milestone or small gathering, full-on fancy venue or garden party vibes – it doesn’t matter. Great food is always the move.
Case in point: a lovely local family recently called us up to help celebrate their little boy’s 3rd birthday. Twenty guests, a bank holiday Monday (so everyone was actually free for once!), and one very important mission: keep everyone fed, happy and coming back for seconds.
Challenge accepted.
Hog Roast Addlestone arrived bright and early, well ahead of the 12pm serving time, and got straight to work. The whole hog was prepped with real care – skin scored, salt rubbed into every nook and cranny, a generous splash of water to kick off that iconic crackling process. As it slowly worked its magic on the HogMaster, the rest of the spread came together beautifully thanks to our talented catering manager, Shaun. Making every minute count, he rustled up juicy marinated chicken thighs, homemade applesauce, sage and onion stuffing, tomato and mozzarella salad, creamy coleslaw, mixed salad and a mix of classic and sweet potato fries just waiting to be loaded up with salt, vinegar and Sauce Shop sauces.
And before anyone asks – yes, the veggie and vegan guests were absolutely sorted too. Grilled vegetable kebabs with optional halloumi, tzatziki dip and warm flatbreads meant everyone around that table had something genuinely delicious on their plate. No sad side salad in sight.

For a 3-year-old’s party, it was seriously impressive. Well, for any party, actually.
When the food is this good, the birthday kind of takes care of itself. Full bellies, happy faces and memories that’ll stick around long after the balloons have deflated.
That’s the Hog Roast Addlestone difference – and honestly? Once you’ve tried it, there’s no going back.
