Saturday the 23rd of May in Epsom a lovely day. We arrived at Linda and Tony’s lovely home in Epsom at 7:30am to allow enough time to cook the spit roasted pig and sirloin of beef along with home-made coleslaw, fresh green leaf salad, yorkshire puddings, potato wedges and fresh bakers rolls. This was all served with a selection of home-made sauces and dressings, not forgetting of course our home-made stuffing. The sun was shinning as we arrived and we quickly got the gazebo and serving tables into position along with our spit roast and hog roast ovens. The spit-roast pig was put on to cook and we started preparing the two handmade salads. Our waitress Hannah turned up at 10am and quickly got to work wrapping all the knifes and forks for service. The garden looked great with a big marquee and lots of space for the children. And the smells were amazing especially when we started cooking the beautiful sirloin of beef. As the guests arrived they all complimented us on how great everything looked and smelt and once we lifted the spit roast pig into position to carve everyone watched and then started making there way to be served a hearty meal. Linda and Tony were extremely welcoming of us into their home and couldn’t thank us enough for our hard work to make a great 70th birthday. A great hog roast with trimmings in Epsom.
