Here at Hog Roast Ottershaw, we aren’t just experts at catering for large-scale events, we are just as good at catering for smaller private parties, which is why Dawn hired us to do the catering for her 50th birthday. Lured by our wide ranging, freshly made menus and the thought of enjoying a fabulous birthday feast from the comfort of her own home, she couldn’t wait to treat herself and her 40 guests to the private party menu that she had chosen!
After some deliberation because she was so spoilt for choice, Dawn decided on one of our signature hog roasts, along with a refreshing mozzarella and tomato salad, as well as pasta and Caesar salads and jacket wedges, plus grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers with tzatziki dip and pitta bread for the meat-free option. With everything being served on china plates, it was definitely a perfect garden party menu to celebrate her milestone 50th birthday in terms of both the food and the presentation!
Our streamlined and multi-functional cooking equipment allows us to produce fabulous food in smaller spaces, so Dawn was very relieved that we weren’t taking up the whole garden after she watched us set up!
Whilst the pork was being tended to by our on-site chef as it roasted slowly over the course of several hours, the rest of Hog Roast Ottershaw’s catering team, led by Ben, were hard at work preparing the rest of Dawn’s birthday feast, which as always, was made using only the best locally-sourced ingredients!
As the guests arrived just after 6pm, they were all very impressed by the spread that awaited them and couldn’t wait to get stuck in. We made sure everyone received a warm welcome and were well-fed throughout the evening and many of her guests couldn’t resist coming back for a second helping of our moreish pork! Dawn had a lovely birthday celebration and very glad that she had decided to leave the catering in Hog Roast Ottershaw’s capable hands, so she was free to enjoy her party with the rest of her guests!
