Garden Parties Are More Fun When Hog Roast Alfold Is Involved!

To keep on top of the latest guidelines, Hog Roast Alfold has been busy implementing lots of changes to our services recently, which is allowing us to continue providing our clients with the best possible experience, even during these uncertain times.

On top of our staff wearing full PPE and keeping their hands even cleaner by way of our affectionately named, sanitation station, one of the main adaptions you’ll discover we have made is to our full pigs. For some of our serves, (mainly where the number of guests is very low) these are being switched out and replaced with pork joints instead. But don’t worry, we haven’t compromised on the flavour – that’s one thing that you can always count on to remain the same!

One of the most recent events we trialled this change at, was a garden party. But this wasn’t just any run of the mill garden party – oh, no! This was in celebration of English rugby player, James Haskell’s newest book hitting the shelves. The Hog Roast Alfold team were a little starstruck, to say the least when they heard they’d be catering for the sporting heavyweight who braved the ‘I’m a Celebrity‘ jungle last year!

As always, our catering manager Shaun was on hand to walk the client through the process until they decided on our private party menu 3 for the occasion. This time around, the menu was to include three slow roasted pork joints along with a meatless alternative of grilled veggie skewers with optional chunks of Greek halloumi cheese and tzatziki dip. In addition to the mains, warm new potatoes, gluten-free rolls and wraps and a medley of side salads, each presented with refreshing watermelon slices were also on offer.

It took Hog Roast Alfold several hours to cook up the drool-worthy feast, but the wait was well worth it for the guests! By the time the clock hit 1:30 pm, everyone was ready and waiting for the delicious grub to be served, and upon Shaun’s signal, they queued up to fill their plates!

The food went down a treat among the guests, and the wonderful day was made even better by the glorious weather.
