When Steven hired Hog Roast Oxted to provide a delicious comfort menu for his upcoming event, our team was excited to plan the perfect menu for the occasion. Steven is hosting a family party at his home in Surrey, complete with a tasty and warming buffet menu. Our catering manager Shaun discussed several menu options with Steven before we decided that our classic hog-roast menu would be perfect. This may be a simple menu but it is also incredibly delicious and always goes down a treat on a cold November evening!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Oxted team arrived at the private home in the morning, giving us plenty of time to prepare and cook the menu on-site. We began by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. In the meantime, we prepared the sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, succulent pork sausages, roasted baby potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. We also provided veggie sausages for meat-free guests. Our menu was served buffet style, which was ideal for allowing all of the guests to create a delicious meal from what we had to offer. Overall, we had more than enough for everyone to enjoy, including plenty for seconds. Several guests were also sent home with leftovers to enjoy the next day! The Hog Roast Oxted team had a great time catering for this event and it is always amazing to see so many guests enjoying our delicious catering!
