School’s out for the summer! Hog Roast Shepperton were asked to cater for Haliford’s school party on 4th July, marking the end of another academic year. The event was held at Shepperton Cricket Club with 100 guests of staff, parents and children to celebrate their achievements.
Hog Roast Shepperton’s catering manager, Shaun, and the team arrived bright and early to get everything set up. We started cooking the main course, a whole roasted pig, of course. It took 6 hours for the meat to cook thoroughly from the outside in, while the skin crisped up into golden deliciousness. It was served with apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing, and a choice of bread rolls, including gluten-free options. And let’s just say that no one held back. There were no leftovers at all, so everyone had enough helpings to keep them satisfied into the evening.
We never forget about our vegetarian and vegan guests. We completely understand that not all guests will be a hog roast fan, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not the right caterer for you. We made sure there were plenty of alternative meat-free options to choose from. We served our vegan pulled jackfruit in a smoky hickory BBQ sauce (and topped with crunchy slaw).
We served a buffet, meaning everyone could tuck in at their leisure. Plus, we used eco-friendly wooden disposable crockery and cutlery that made the clean-up a doddle. It’s always our job to handle this. We don’t expect you to lift a finger when the event ends. After all, it’s all about enjoying quality time with other guests, rather than the logistics.
