The long and dreary winter has finally come to an abrupt end, and in its place, we’re experiencing the beginnings of some much-needed sunshine.
Signalling the arrival of spring, this warmer weather calls for some long-awaited fun, and here at Hog Roast Bellfields, we’re fully embracing the seasonal change. In fact, we’re committed to making every minute of the good weather count by helping our customers realise the true potential of their events. How? Why, by serving one of our succulent spit roasts of, course!
With the weather picking up and lockdown coming to an end, we have been incredibly busy these past few weeks. Most recently, our crew had the pleasure of helping out at a corporate function, held by our client, Greenshields JCB for 60 members of their staff.
As the designated organiser for this event, Lucy had been tasked with choosing the best selection of foods for the occasion, and with a little help and guidance from our Hog Roast Bellfields catering manager, Shaun, she soon found herself swooning over our classic hog roast feast! Offering a more traditional take on the popular cooking method, this menu has everything you need to impress your guests – no matter how many of them you choose to invite.
With this event being staggered across several different serves for social distancing reasons, the simplicity of the classic hog roast menu was ideal for what Lucy had in mind, and so, starting their day off early, Hog Roast Bellfields arrived on-site to make a dent in cooking, hours before the first serving time.
Using our HogMaster Glass, Shaun slow-cooked a full-size, free-range pig, the juices of which he used to enhance the flavour of the sage and onion stuffing. In the final stages of the slow-roasting process, Shaun carved off the beautifully rendered crackling rinds, which were presented in a bamboo bowl alongside chafing dishes that overflowed with stunning pulled pork and stuffing accompaniments.
The client was so impressed with how well Shaun and the rest of the Hog Roast Bellfields team expertly handled the feast, which was both delicious and entirely covid-safe.
