We had a fantastic menu 4 hog roast today, with the addition of an evening buffet. Set within the grounds of a picturesque farm close to Hindhead, Surrey. We were extremely delighted to have the opportunity to cater for Kieth and Michelle on there special day, and what a wonderful wedding it was. The sun was on our side from the very beginning of the day. And as we arrived at 10 am we were greeted by Kieth and his brother and best man Gregg. We had done a site visit beforehand to ensure everyone knew our plans and so once on site got to work setting up our 2 gazebo’s and all our serving tables, making sure it looked stunning. Time went quickly and we were soon preparing all the delicious food for the 150 guests that were attending. The sun was blazing down, but a cool breeze stopped the day from being too warm. The smell of the hog roast pork drifted through the air as we prepared a mixed vegetable medley and perfectly cooked new potatoes that were to be served in fresh herb butter. Sage and onion stuffing with freshly prepared gravy was also served along with a selection of fresh bakers rolls and an assortment of sauces. We served the top table individually, and set out sauces and butter for them beforehand. The other guests came up to our serving tables to be served.
The main course went perfectly and compliments were given throughout. Gregg was our point of contact through the day and as the mains were finished he informed us of a change from the original plan, and that the speeches were being said before the desserts. This was no problem for us and as the speeches were being said we plated the stunning desserts of freshly made fruit salad served with meringue and fruit coulées and a selection of individual cheesecakes served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. As you can imagine, the desserts went down a storm with almost all the guests having at least One. Whilst the desserts were being served by our waiting staff, we started preparing the wonderful evening buffet. The buffet was elegant. Served on slate and handmade boards, the selection of food was outstanding and all the guests commented on how wonderful it all looked. We used fresh local produce, and in particular a cheese that bursts with flavour being the west Sussex charmer. All the food on the buffet had been prepared throughout the day and as we stood back to admire the effort we had made with Kieth and Michelle a Sense of glowing pride had overcome us. With all the compliments and the way people were speaking so highly of an outstanding service from all of our team we delivered the final piece, being the amazing buffet. Full of flavour and elegance the way it sparkled with delight underneath the night sky had people star struck. The compliments came from everyone and as we slowly packed away knowing that expectations had been overcome a smile from each and every guest said it all. A fantastic menu 4 hogroast and evening buffet. And many congratulations to Kieth and Michelle.
