Hog Roast Rudgwick’s latest catering event was an opportunity for the team to show off just how resilient they are. Client Zara hired the team to feed her staff (of 40) at lunchtime one day as the canteen was out of commission for the day due to repairs.
Client Zara was happy to leave most of the work to the Hog Roast Rudgwick team, the only thing she insisted on was that there should be gluten free rolls on the menu, which the team assured her there would be. Due to the office location for the lunch, Chef Shaun would have to set up his catering equipment and gazebo in the car park. But it was easy enough for him to do so.
It may have been wet and windy when Chef Shaun arrived at the office car park, but that didn’t deter him in the slightest. He set up the equipment and once he was dry under the temporary shelter of the gazebo he had plenty of time to create the whole lunchtime buffet from scratch.
As the office had a canteen the Hog Roast Rudgwick team did not need to provide any crockery or cutlery for the guests to use. This meant that at the end of the event Chef Shaun would only take away any rubbish from the catering, leaving the client with their own crockery and cutlery.
The buffet that Catering Manager Shaun produced included lots of tasty treats for the workers. There was a Classic Hog Roast, the slow spit roasted pig was scored and sizzled under Chef Shaun’s expert eye and was then served with crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. As Client Zara had requested, there was also a basket of soft gluten free rolls for the guests to tuck into. There was of course, also a vegetarian alternative to the Classic Hog Roast available. Alongside this there was platters of piping hot seasonal vegetables and a mountain of new potatoes that had been roasted in rosemary and garlic.
The magnificent buffet went down a treat with the workers, Client Zara was delighted.
