This week, the team at Hog Roast Tadworth received a call from a man named Ian who told us he was the director of a play that was about to finish its tour of the country. He wanted to throw a tasteful party for his company of actors and stage crew members, where they could, relax, eat, drink and fondly reminisce about the tour gone by. He had seen a picture of our mighty Hog Roasts online, and thought it would be the perfect fit for his event. We worked with Ian to devise a menu that would suit everybody’s needs, including the option of a Vegetarian dish.
Once everything was arranged, the time flew by and it was soon the last night of the tour. An hour or so before the actors were due for their first tech run of the day, our team from Hog Roast Tadworth, were in the function room venue across the road from the theatre, butchering the hog and decorating the room. We always arrive nice and early on site, as we need to allow plenty of time for the slow cooking process, which is the key to achieving our succulent taste and crispy crackling. On the menu tonight was the Hog Roast, served on the side of roasted new potatoes and a seasonal veg medley, accompanied by a homemade onion gravy.
There was also a selection of canapes available for the guests to choose from, which included the creamy feta skewers and the Wild Mushroom Bouchees among other dishes, and they were all available from the outset. The theatre company soon arrived having put on another marvellous display, and they were hungry as ever! All of the guests took great delight in the spread that the team from Hog Roast Tadworth had prepared, with many coming up for seconds. Congratulations banners had been hung from the walls by our catering assistants, and the company took great pleasure in reminiscing.
Ian thanked us for helping to make their night a special one, and assured us that the food was the best he’d ever tasted. With nothing left to do, the team from Hog Roast Tadworth discreetly tidied away their mess and disposed of any waste offsite.
