It is unbelievable to think that the 90s was 30 years ago since, for many, it was the defining decade of their youth! The 90s was full of new music, new technology, and new fashion- making it an important era for pop culture. Because of all of the trends that emerged during this time, ‘the 90s’ is a common party theme since it allows guests to reminisce on an incredible part of history!
When coming up with a theme for his 40th birthday party, Andy knew he wanted it to be based around the 90s. During this period he was becoming a teenager and growing up in the centre of the cultural movement! He wanted his birthday party to reflect this, with guests dressing as they did in the 90s and a DJ playing classic music and party games. There were almost 100 guests on Andy’s guest list, so we worked with him to create the perfect Hog Roast Hamm Court buffet menu for everyone to enjoy.
The menu consisted of whole-roasted chickens, jacket potatoes and spit-roasted pork, served with a variety of sides such as sweet potato fries, new potatoes, and mac and cheese. We also provided fresh salad options, including seasonal vegetables, homemade coleslaw and Caesar salad. For dessert, Andy had provided his own birthday cake, which we were serving to his guests alongside some Hog Roast Hamm Court desserts: fresh fruit salad and sticky toffee pudding. This menu was perfect for the occasion and had a dish that could be enjoyed by every guest.
