Hog Roast Epsom is enjoying the summer along with our customers, and we’ve been catering lots of outdoor events and soaking up the sunshine while it lasts. We’ve been busy catering all kinds of events, including wedding receptions, birthday parties, christenings, corporate functions and so much more, so there’s never a dull moment. We’re very popular with schools, for fetes and even events like prom, and just recently we were asked to cater a staff party at a school in Epsom itself.
For the end of year staff party at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Epsom, we were asked to cook our increasingly popular Southern Slow Roast Menu for 60 guests. St. Joseph’s is local to us, on West Street in Epsom, and has an outstanding Ofsted report, in all areas. The staff do a great job year-round and certainly deserve a treat like a Hog Roast Epsom feast at the end of the school year!
Our Southern Slow Roast Menu is all about variety, as you get to choose three tasty marinated meats that we roast slowly at a low temperature, as well as four delicious side dishes like mac and cheese, salad, sweet potato wedges, jacket potatoes and coleslaw, and we serve them with a selection of sauces and plenty of fresh bread rolls and wraps too. Plus you can also select a vegetarian dish if required. No one goes hungry with this amazing menu!
For this staff party, our customers chose some lovely options, including our Louisiana sticky pork ribs, which just fall off the bone, and our Cajun-spiced whole roasted chickens. We were also asked to cook our well-liked veggie skewers for any vegetarian guests, which feature pieces of halloumi, mushrooms, tomatoes, mixed peppers and red onion. We can even make them vegan if needed, simply by leaving out the halloumi.
On the day of the party, our Hog Roast Epsom team arrived hours before service and set up our gazebo, serving tables and equipment, and got on with slow-roasting the meats that had been marinating overnight. The day went swimmingly and we had a great time serving the lovely guests who can now enjoy the summer months off school.
