Hog Roast WottonHaving heard plenty of positive things about us through the grapevine, our recent client, Barbara was excited to get Hog Roast Wotton involved in the 70th birthday party she had been planning for her husband, Bill. With just 10 people on the guestlist for the celebratory event, Barbara had selected our private party menu 3, featuring one of our smallest spit-roasted pigs for the occasion along with plenty of fresh side dishes to complement the main attraction.

Catering manager Shaun was at the head of the event, and usual he was quick to impress the client with his organisational skills and professional approach, which helped to reassure Barbara that her celebration was in capable hands.

On the day of Bill’s birthday, Hog Roast Wotton arrived at the client’s home 4 hours before the serving time to begin preparations for the meal. Starting things off, they quickly pitched the catering gazebo in the back garden before using the HogMaster to spit roast the meat. With the pig suspended on a skewer above a low flame, the catering team used the remaining time to piece together the grilled veggie skewers, following which they arranged the condiments and rolls on the serving table alongside wooden bowls featuring garden-fresh salads, crunchy coleslaw and sliced tropical fruit.

Once everyone had arrived, Hog Roast Wotton began carving up the crispy golden hog to reveal a centre of juicy, fork-tender meat which had the guests drooling from the first slice. As the birthday boy, Bill was naturally the first to trial the spread and to our delight, he loved every piece of it!
