Hog Roast Walton-on-Thames often caters for corporate hospitality events, both small and large, and we have the capability and experience to handle hundreds of guests as well as just a handful if needed. If you’re planning a team-building event, conference or staff party (or anything else that you may have in mind), we can provide various culinary options to tickle your taste buds and satisfy your hunger – and that of your guests too! We may well specialise in hog and spit roasts but we can also cook a barbecue, concoct several courses for a sit-down meal or provide options for any of your guests with dietary needs. From vegetarian to vegan or gluten-free, just give us advance notice and all of your guests will be enjoying our food, no matter their beliefs, allergies or intolerances.
When Tristan, the General Manager of the Jewson LTD branches in Walton-on-Thames, recently asked Hog Roast Walton-on-Thames to provide the catering for a corporate event for 100 guests, our team looked forward to it. As you may already know, Jewson is a chain of builders merchants and they supply tools, materials and construction equipment. They have more than 600 branches across the country and first opened in 1836 – that’s more than 180 years ago!
For a mid-morning event at the Terrace Road branch, we would be making our traditional, simple yet highly delectable pig in buns, which meant arriving a few hours before service, preparing the meat on-site at the business premises venue and roasting the hog from scratch for several hours until perfect. When we put together the hog roast rolls themselves, our chefs cram fresh, hot slivers of meat and salty crackling into fresh-floured bread rolls and top with our homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, both made to our own recipe. We don’t forget the condiments either, as we know that they’re often the finishing touch needed to make your roll perfect, and we bring along plenty of napkins, just in case.
Hog Roast Walton-on-Thames arrived in the wee hours to start roasting the hog and once it was beautifully cooked, the guests started to queue up and we got to work filling lots of hungry tummies.
