Any 60th birthday is cause for celebration and when our clients, a married couple who share their birthday, started planning they decided they want to go all out. After having quiet joint celebrations for many years this pair decided to get all their family and friends together for a big barn dance. With around 120 people to feed before the dancing began, they knew they needed some help with the catering, and thought that the Hog Roast Banstead team would be the perfect choice.
There was a great, social atmosphere in the family farm’s barn on the day as they had decided to decorate it themselves. Throughout the morning more and more friends bearing fairy lights and lanterns arrived throughout the day to help set up, and the band warmed up on the makeshift stage. Meanwhile the Hog Roast Banstead catering crew helped everyone get into the party atmosphere with mouth-watering smells as they prepared an incredible feast.
The couple had opted for the Private Party Menu Option 4 to get the party started. The main event was a slow roasted pig, with apple sauce, stuffing and crackling that went down a storm. There were plenty of salads and new potatoes roasted with rosemary and garlic to accompany the meat, and grilled vegetable wraps with the choice of adding halloumi and tzatziki for the vegan and vegetarian guests.
When the band started playing it was time to tuck in, and the guests were delighted with the succulent meat and fresh salads on offer. It wasn’t only the guests who made the most of it, there had to be a brief pause to the music when the guitarist abandoned the stage for a quick pork roll!
Once everyone was full it was time for everyone to get into the groove and the dancing began in earnest. The birthday couple were delighted that the staff cleared everything away, leaving all the guests energised by the delicious hog roast and ready dance the night away.
